This paper discusses the importance of meeting the basic needs of students as the primary foundation in creating an effective and meaningful learning process. Referring to Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, students' needs are classified into several levels, ranging from physiological needs to self-actualization. Meeting these needs not only affects students' emotional and physical well-being but also impacts their learning motivation and academic achievement. This research outlines the types of students' basic needs and how they are implemented in daily learning activities, including teachers' strategies in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Through a holistic approach, teachers can help students grow optimally in both academic and socio-emotional aspects. Thus, understanding and applying the concept of basic needs becomes a key element in realizing education that is oriented towards the holistic development of students.
