Pengaruh Status Sosial Ekonomi terhadap Performa Akademik Peserta Didik Kelas 5 UPTD Keleyan 1

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping a child's future; however, access to and quality of education are often influenced by a family's socioeconomic status. This study aims to analyze the impact of socioeconomic status on the academic performance of fifth-grade students at UPTD SDN Keleyan 1 in the subjects of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) and Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The research employs observation and interviews with students, teachers, and parents. The findings indicate that students from higher socioeconomic backgrounds tend to achieve better academic results compared to those from middle and lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The key factors contributing to these differences include the availability of learning resources, parental support, and the home learning environment. Additionally, the study found that students find PAI easier to understand than IPAS due to the higher complexity of IPAS material. A lack of family involvement in supporting children's education also contributes to lower academic performance. Therefore, collaboration between schools, parents, and the government is necessary to ensure equal access to education and improve learning quality for all students.
